Amazing Vacation Homes Season 1 – Episode 17: Twisted Traditions & Episode 18: Extraordinary Designs

Amazing Vacation Homes takes a close look at the lifestyles and vacation-creations of some pretty unique individuals. These vacation visionaries can be found in lighthouses, or tree houses, or sometimes something that is even more sublime. The common thread to all of these homes is that they are amazing. Episode 17: These aren’t Grandma’s vacation homes. These homes have taken some traditional spaces and given them an amazing twist. In Bridgehampton, New York, a 1930s shed used by farmhands is now an architectural masterpiece. Episode 18: Get ready for an extraordinary tour of the most amazing vacation homes in America. The Pines in Lake Tahoe is one of the most expensive properties in the country; a New Mexico wonder is made of straw; and solar power drives a Sun Valley retreat. Season two of “Million Dollar Listing” follows the lives of three of Los Angeles’ hottest, youngest and most aggressive real estate magnates in the making as they net a fortune selling multi-million dollar properties in the most exclusive neighborhoods — Hollywood, Malibu and Beverly Hills. Each episode keeps up with these fast-moving, savvy agents as they juggle multiple demands on their time and try to keep their professional lives afloat — all in the name of selling the next Million Dollar Listing.

5 Stars Young, successful real estate agents working in Los Angeles
Season #2 focuses on 3 single, young and successful real estate agents, Josh, Chad & Madison, all working to list and sell expensive homes in Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Malibu, California. We follow these 3 attractive guys around as they go on listing appointments, show homes to wealthy real estate buyers and make connections with movie stars and business executives. We also get to see the guys spending some of their large commissions, sometimes in the 6 figures, on expensive clothes, shoes and jewelry from the high-end Beverly Hills shops or on fancy cars or limo rides in Las Vegas. Of the three agents, Josh is my favorite. He is 21 and very attractive. I’m hoping season #2 will be available on DVD to buy.

60 Minutes – Walking Away (May 9, 2010)

60 Minutes – Walking Away (May 9, 2010)

Airdate: 5/9/10 Currently about 7 million U.S. homeowners are behind on their mortgages, and some may end up losing their homes because they can’t make the payments anymore. Then there are those homeowners who can make the payments, but are going into “strategic default,” walking away from their homes because they’re “underwater” — worth far less than the mortgage. Is this financially savvy or stupid? Morley Safer reports.
